MacBook Air in hand. Restless mind on the move. Designer. Writer. Director. Not in that order. Not by accident.
The keys know every brief he has cracked. The spacebar has been hit more times than send. The screen is smudged with thinking. The dock holds Figma, Illustrator, Final Cut. And a folder full of logos, type trials, and ideas that got pushed. Then pushed further.
The return key has seen rewrites. The delete key has stories. There is a note on the desktop. It says: make it mean something.
He builds brand identities that cut through. Typography that speaks before the words do. Ideas with purpose. Design with intent. Work that earns its place. Will kern for meaning. Will track for truth.
Born in Nanded. Schooled in commercial art. Shaped by agencies. Fed by film sets. Twenty-five years of turning clutter into clarity. Helping brands look better. Helping them mean more.
It started with a gold medal from Sir JJ Institute of Applied Art. A Young CAG. A Strategic Communication Award from Leo Burnett. Then came the real lessons. BBH. Ogilvy. DDB. Grey. Leo Burnett. Famous. HyperCollective. Nihilent. Clients that pushed. Teams that pulled. Work that held its ground. Awards came. Cannes. D&AD. One Show. Adfest. Effies. Kyoorius.
Wrote. Directed. Designed. Made things for AB InBev. Castrol. Google. Gulf. Kotak. Mahindra. Marico. McDonald’s. Monster. Nestlé. Pidilite. Philips. Red Bull. Tata. Uber. Vespa. Volkswagen. Unilever.
Directed for Jeep. Lenskart. Big Bazaar. Launched Shivaji for Khalid. Cannes liked it. So did the goosebumps. Built Nirma Beauty Soap’s voice. Ho itni haseen, dhoonde titliyan.
In 2024, after enough years of caffeine and chaos, he founded Partner Brand Solutions. Helping brands find their soul before they sell their stuff. Crafting identities. Designing logos. Shaping voices. Tracking obsessively. Kerning like it matters.
He is happiest when he is working. When there is something to shape. Build. Fix. Just doing the work.
Ajmal lives in Pune with two boys. Still learning. Still building. Still restless in the best way.
If your brand has a soul, he will help shape its voice. Probably in Garamond. Maybe in Futura. Always in good faith.
